Solid surface material to be: Granita manufactured by Shamrock Corporation or equivalent as defined by The International Solid Surface Fabricators Association Specification, ISSFA-2-01. Solid surface material (SSM) shall consist of reacted monomers and resins, mineral fillers and pigments manufactured in sheets of specific thicknesses. SSM shall be solid, non-porous, homogeneous, hygienic, renewable, and, when applicable, may feature inconspicuous hygienic seams. SSM shall be free from conspicuous internal strengthening fibers. SSM is typically fabricated using ½ inch (12.7 mm) nominal thickness sheets that may be supported by wood or steel members. Solid surface materials must meet or exceed performance standards set forth in ISSFA-2-01.

Solid Surfacing Bowls (SSB) shall consist of reacted monomers and resins, mineral fillers and pigments. SSB shall be solid non-porous, homogeneous, hygienic, renewable, and, when applicable can be mounted to solid surface sheets featuring inconspicuous hygienic seams. Solid surface bowls shall be free from conspicuous internal strengthening fibers. Solid surface bowls must meet or exceed performance standards set forth in ANSI Z-124-1997 and ISSFA-2-01.
